UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS DISTANCE LEARNING INSTITUTE Report on the questionnaires administered by Group 16 Research Seminar Group 16 Being a report submitted in partial fulfillment of the course – Research Seminar Course coordinator – Dr. (Mrs.) Dixon Ogbechei Bolajoko REPORT ON THE QUESTIONNAIRES ADMINISTERED BY MEMBERS OF GROUP 16 The report on the questionnaires administered by members of Group 16 is presented as follows: 1.0 Series of group membership meeting and deliberations chaired by the group leader; McStanford Marcellinus Nwogu as nominated in the first meeting. 1.1 Group Visitation to the Bank Branches – First Bank of Nigeria PLC The Group visited three (3) Branches of FBN Bank situated at Bariga, Ifako and Sabo respectively, on 19th, 20th and 21st October, 2010. 2.0 Sampling Method Adopted In order to achieve the target aimed (40 questionnaires), Stratified Sampling method was adopted and distributed according to the number of departments namely: - Operation Unit; - Foreign Operations Unit; - Risk Management Unit; - Customer-Care Unit; - Fund and Transfer Unit; and - Western Union Unit 3.0 Total Questionnaires Administered The group visited three branches of FBN Bank PLC and the following questionnaires were administered: Bariga: 14 questionnaires, Ifako: 13 questionnaires, and Sabo: 13 questionnaires, all the responded were collected appropriately. 4.0 Challenges 4.1 The Group was unable to get back those questionnaires immediately due to the tight schedule surrounding their job while attending to their customers. 4.2 In addition, there was time constraints as we were faced with respondents’ steer attitude in attending to us promptly. 4.3 The tight schedules of staff in each department were part of the challenges. 4.4 The chaotic Lagos traffic was part of the challenges we encountered. Success Story of the Group We succeeded in getting the feedback from our respondents due to our unrelenting attitude and consistent visitation to the three branches of First Bank Plc for the three day under review, and the presence of a staff the Bank; Stanley Obi Ikenna who is also a member of the group we believe made the staff accord us listening ears.
